Accommodation

Katuma Bush Lodge

Katuma Bush Lodge1In the center of Katavi National Park lies Katuma, a charming Bush Lodge that offers a riveting bush experience with breathtaking views over the vast plains of Katisunga.

Katuma Bush Lodge has been designed to blend in with its surroundings and was fully refurbished in 2011. It retains an African simplicity and is an idyllic base for exploring the spectacular wildlife of remote, wild Katavi National Park.

The brand new dining area consists of a comfortable guest lounge, a spacious dining facility and spectacular viewing and swimming pool deck. You'll be staying in a spacious and comfortably furnished safari tent on a raised wooden platform with a writing desk, lamps, fine linen and en-suite facilities with step-in showers. The tent’s private balconies have excellent views over the plains.

Kungwe Beach Lodge

Kungwe

Set deep in the heart of the African interior on a stretch of secluded golden beach on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, Kungwe Beach Lodge is the perfect blend of comfort and luxury in a romantic setting.

With the chain of wild, jungle-draped mountains rising high up behind, the lodge is ideally positioned under the tropical shade of the Mahale forest with breathtaking views over the crystal clear waters of Lake Tanganyika.

The raised thatched mess, built in the shape of a dhow boat, is where most meals are served and also offers a cozy lounge area, with a small selection of books and board games for lazy afternoons. Guests can enjoy sundowners and share their adventures around a crackling fire whilst the sun slowly slips over the mountains.

The light, airy and spacious tents, scattered along the beach are furnished in traditional safari style and the secluded patio offers wide views extending over the lake. Each tent features an en-suite bathroom with an open-air shower.
