6 DAYS, 5 NIGHTS NYERERE & MIKUMI

DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY

Arrival at Mwalimu Nyerere International Airport. You will be met by our guide and transferred to the hotel in Dar es Salaam where you can relax and recover from your journey.
Accommodation: Tanzanite Executive Suites.
Meals: Dinner & Breakfast.

DAY 2: DAR – Nyerere National Park

In the morning you'll be picked up from your hotel in Dar and we'll drive to Nyerere National Park arriving in time for a hot lunch. In the afternoon you'll go on a thrilling boat safari on the Rufiji River where you'll see hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Your guide will also be able to point out interesting birds and plant species during this trip.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

DAY 3 & 4: Nyerere National Park FULL DAY

Each morning after breakfast you'll have a full day of game viewing in Nyerere National Park taking a packed lunch with you if you wish to maximize your game drive time. The park is bigger than Switzerland and Denmark so it takes a long time to explore properly but your guide will know the best places to go. These will be special days spent exploring the wilderness in the biggest game reserve in Africa and viewing diverse wildlife which includes lion, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, wild dog and so much more.

 DAY 5: SELOUS - MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we'll leave Selous Kinga Lodge with a packed lunch to enjoy on our a game drive on the way to Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park is nestled between the Uluguru Mountains to the northeast, and the Rubeho Mountains, Udzungwa Mountains and Rift Valley escarpment to the southwest. As part of the Selous ecosystem, it benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area. The landscape here is beautiful and the wildlife prolific. You can expect to see animals like elephant, giraffe, zebra, eland, kudu, wildebeest, antelope, tree-climbing lion, leopard, wild dog,  jackal and an amazing array of colorful birds.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

DAY 6: MIKUMI – DAR ES SALAAM

Early morning game viewing in Mikumi for 3 hours, then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, leave for Dar es Salaam and get transfer to the airport for your flight back home. It's been an amazing trip and you'll have some incredible photos and stories to share with your friends and family back home.

Tanzanite Executive Suites are 15 minutes from the Airport and 3 minutes from the ferry to Zanzibar. There's a gym, sauna and jacuzzi where you can relax and recover from your journey. There is WiFi throughout the hotel and various suite sizes available to suit your travel party.

Angalia Tented Camp

Angalia Tented Camp is a comfortable, private camp surrounded by wilderness. The tented accommodation is protected by a palm roof and the charming buildings blend into the breathtaking landscape. Your tent is simply furnished with a comfy bed and a private bathroom. The bar and restaurant is a great place to relax with a sundowner drink and you can sit around the camp fire in the evenings under the stars.
