More than a Safari

Before we start our beach holiday on Sansibar we wanted to have a safari trip in Tanzania. We have visited many homepages with interesting Safaris. Daigle Tours quoted the best for us:

The organisation was very good. Manager Samwel replied every mail fast and trustful.
When we arrived at Dar es Salaam at 2:30 in the night we were picked up from our guide Kapande directly from the airport.
First day we were in Dar es Salaam in a good Hotel direclty at the coast. We had very good breakfast and dinner which was included in our booking like every following days.

On the second day we started our tour to Selous. During the trip we had the chance to see very much of african/tanzanian live. It was very interesting to watch people, behavior and land scapes while we drove to Selous.

In Selous we had a safari on the water where we saw exotic birds, crocodiles, hippos and very tall lizards. Due the low water-level in July we could enter a sandbank where we could observe a hippo family not far from us and an amazing sunset. This one was probably the best sunset we have ever seen.
To lie in the sand, which is actualy the ground of a big river, while watching hippos relaxing in their own territory, during the sun goes down.. Awesome..
Next day we had a full game reserve drive which was also an absolut highlight. We have seen elefants, giraff, zebras, garzelle, hyena, eagle and many many many more animals in wildness.

Unfortunately we have not spotted lions but our guide has looked for known spots to get a look of rare animals. We have noted that he was interested to show us as much as possible. A good feeling for us. This is why we were lucky to spot elefants which became more rare from year to year in Selous. Our guide is a good one we think!
Next day we drove back to Dar es Salaam to take a ferry over to Sansibar. When we arrived we were picked up again from another guide who drove us to a wunderful hotel at the east coast of Sansibar. It was good for us to make the transfer over to Sansibar with an organized and trustful tour. Everything went alright.

The day after we made an interesting Stone Town Tour and a Spice Farm Tour. It was a good ending for our very exciting week. At the very end our guide even brought us to our hotel.
All in all we had an incredible week. We have seen so many things from african life and not only animals and a secure transfer to Sansibar what we thought when we booked this safari.

We had a really good time because it was just more than a safari for us.

I contacted Daigle tours with a late request as to whether a day out could be arranged for me. Samwel responded quickly with details on two options. Due to the late booking, some flexibility was needed on how I was to pay for the day and Samwel agreed to pick me up early and stop at ATMs to collect the payment in cash.

The day went really smoothly with hand over between different guides and using different modes of transport - something that I could not have arranged myself within the time frame I had.

Thoroughly enjoyed my day in Zanzibar and would recommend Daigle Tours to others. I hope to do norther circuit safari one day and would contact Daigle as my first contact to arrange this.

Reliable, Knowledgeable, safe company

I highly recommend working with Daigle Tours. They were very easy to communicate with via e-mail prior to the tour and even in Tanzania they sent e-mails to confirm pick-ups. All transportation arrangements were on time and always had a sign with my name on it. The safari was such an amazing experience and our tour guide was a huge credit to this. He was very knowledgeable and informed us on thedaily schedule. He did everything he could to try and find the animals my husband and I were eager to see. My only advise is to not do a day tour from DAR to Mikumi National Park. The drive can take more than 5 hours due to traffic and it is not safe and if we had chose this route it would of ruined our experience. Spend the extra money and stay a night in the beautiful wild!

Our guide, Kapande, made our safari to Mikumi very pleasant and enjoyable!

The communication with the company was very effective. We received quick answers on all our questions that we had before we started the trip. Kapande is an excellent driver and a knowledgeable guide who put a great effort into finding as many animals as he could. Kapande was always on time, never a minute late! The landrover was in good condition.

Amazing safari!! Couldn't have asked for a better day!

This whole safari experience was amazing!! The cats were comfy and spacious and were so easy to see the animals out of! The guides were incredible and very knowledgeable. We saw all the big 5 except the rhino which blew us away! The abundance of wild life in the park and their ability to put you right amongst it was other worldly! Could not recommend enough!!!

We had a great experience -  real value for money.

We had a fantastic time seeing 4 of the big 5 and leopards. The tour was great on time, minimal fuss and considering there were 24 of us we were all catered for. Transport and guides were excellent and a big thankyou to Samwel for all his hard work to make it a memorable experience for all of us. I cannot recommend them enough.

The most breathtaking, lively experience I have ever had. We saw 'The Big Four' on the first day!

This trip was so amazing. The service at the accommodation was second to none. The owner of the camp treated us like family. They welcomed us with open arms. The accommodation was perfect with not a thing out of place. Very clean and very well designed. Super friendly staff who are willing to guide you back to your cabin/tent to make you feel safe. Waking up to an incredible view the next day was simply breathtaking. Not to mention, bacon & eggs for breakfast the following morning. Our tour guides on safari were so patient and waited until the animals got closer to us so we could all take our desired photos. I would give this safari tour more stars if it were possible. We seen 'The Big Four' on the very first day we arrived. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Certainly something to write home about. I am definitely going back to visit this place again in the near future.

I travelled with Daigle tours to two Safaris in Tanzania. Their service right from their response to the enquiry up to the final point where we had to board our flight back home was extremely good. Samwel who was our point of contact not only helped us with arranging the travel but also helped us find a place to stay in Dar. The travel was well planned with a good tour guide and all the places where we stayed were also very comfortable and had good services. Overall I would highly recommend Daigle tours to anyone wanting to have a great safari experience in Tanzania.

Great tour. Hassan, our driver was awesome

The tour itself was great. Our guide, Hassan, was very knowledgable and helpful. Everyone had a great experience. The only complaint and this was not their fault, was the brutal traffic coming back. Be sure you are prepared for literally hours of traffic jam. Also, apparently some of the roads have changed since they put up their website so you should add an hour driving time to the day tours.
Overall I would highly recommend them, and Hassan specifically.

Great value & a great experience

Daigle helped me determine which itinerary would fit best in my schedule when I was clueless, and I felt it was well worth what we paid, especially compared to some of the other quotes we got. Everything was taken care of for us - transportation, meals, lodging, game park fees, etc. Our driver was fantastic, knowledgeable and a pleasure to ride around with. We loved the game drives, but also the commutes to other parks and areas where we got to see many villages and a lot of countryside. Great experience!

Well planned, excellent execution, very satisfying experience

Daigle Tours was very quick to respond from the very first query. They responded very well to all my requests on planning the tour esp. the Selous Safari. The service rendered at hotels booked and their own Staff (Safari guide) was very good in terms of transfers, sight-seeing, transport, punctuality, knowledgeable. Considering that I was a solo traveler, they ensured to make my tour comfortable, safe, exciting and memorable. The accommodation, meals and short tours offered were above average. Professional, well organised with great drivers

From the moment we were picked up from our hotel until the very end of the safari, we were all very impressed with the high standards we experienced on our trip. The jeeps used by the company were spacious and in very good shape and also seemed secure when compared with other companies' jeeps with open sides, especially when getting close to the lions! There was lots of driving involved but at all

times our drivers kept us informed as to the plans and also had a lot of very interesting local knowledge that they shared with us during the trip. The accommodation was great, huge military style tents with our own toilets and showers, plus the food at the butembo lodge laid on by Bobby was very welcome after a long day in the cars. All in all this company removed any stress we had about the trip so that we could relax and enjoy ourselves, I would consider it very good value for money and would definitely go with them again. Special mention must go to our driver Capande who made every attempt to fulfil our requests when we said we wanted to see elephants or lions etc. and was a lot of fun on the long car journeys!

Unforgettable experience

In a group of 10 we went for a 4 days safari to the Selous game reserve. A large group like this is hard to manage, but our guides were very punctual, accommodating and very well informed. They answered all the questions about the animals and made sure we got really close to them to have an amazing experience. Big shout-out to Kapande and Charles!! Kilililili!!!

Our amazing Tanzania experience

This for both of us was our first safari experience, and it definitely was most amazing trip we have had. Since we had 3 weeks of holidays we could visit many parks and as cherry on top of cake was couple of days in wonderful beaches of Zanzibar before going back to daily routine. We have been very lucky that our tour company was Daigle Tours - starting from very comfy car up to very high level customer care. Professional guides assured that we saw big 5, plus many other animals and birds. We also visited couple of local tribes, and saw some of their daily life. Moreover they helped to Jimmy organize breathtaking surprise for me - balloon safari over Serengeti. Wonderful experience

Our southern Tanzania safari was arranged by a partner tour operator of Daigle and we were assured the safari would be as promoted by them. They were right and then some. The Land Rover was clean and in good condition, the guides were friendly and informative and concerned about making sure we were having an enjoyable experience. They also had a keen eye for spotting game and then getting us close for viewing and pictures. The accommodations were as expected or better. Always with people anxious to please. For us the safari was the right combination of comfort and bush rugged. Just what we wanted. We had a most memorable time.

I recommend Daigle

I took a solo tour of Tanzania's southern circuit with Daigle Tours in July of 2014. Although I was a bit wary of using a smaller tour company, the experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. I initially chose them because they were more flexible, working with me to adjust a set tour to meet my needs. I was picked up by my guide at the airport, taken to 4 lodges that ranged from good to amazing, and dropped off back at the airport. In between, the game drives were awesome, one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. There are lots of safari companies out there, but I can definitely recommend Daigle.

Always in our memories

Ngorongoro and Serengeti

We went for a 3 nights 4 day trip to Ngorongoro and Serengeti from dar by road with Daigle tours. The tour organizer Sam ensured our comfort during all these days and organized a perfect tour according to our budget. I have been on a similar trip but didn't enjoy as much as I did with Daigle.
