This 3-day safari begins with a direct flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park, offering quick access to Tanzania’s rich wildlife. The tour includes daily game drives to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and diverse birdlife. Transport within the park is by 4×4 safari vehicles. After two nights in comfortable lodge accommodations near the park, you’ll fly back to Zanzibar on the final day. Day 1: Flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi Airstrip
Your adventure starts early with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi Airstrip. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your professional guide and transferred to the lodge for check-in and a light refreshment. After a short rest, embark on your first game drive in Mikumi National Park. Spend the afternoon exploring the park’s vast savannahs, woodland, and riverine habitats. Look out for elephants, zebras, lions, and impalas. Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2
Wake up early to enjoy breakfast at the lodge, then set out on a full-day game drive. Today’s excursion takes you deeper into the park to explore different ecosystems and wildlife hotspots. Your guide will share fascinating insights about the animals and the park’s ecosystem. Break for a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by nature’s sights and sounds. In the late afternoon, return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.
Day 3:
After an early breakfast, take a final morning game drive to catch the early wildlife activity. Return to the lodge for check-out and transfer to Mikumi Airstrip. Board your return flight to Zanzibar, arriving by midday or early afternoon, concluding your memorable safari experience.
