3-Day Selous Game Reserve Safari (Fly-in or Road)

Your safari begins with either a morning flight over Tanzania’s varied landscapes or a road transfer through rural countryside and traditional villages. On arrival at the Selous airstrip or park gate, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge or camp. After a welcome drink and lunch, there’s time to settle in before heading out for your first game drive. The afternoon light bathes the plains in golden hues, perfect for spotting elephants on the move, giraffes browsing treetops, and predators starting their evening activity. As dusk falls, return to camp for dinner under the stars before retiring to the soothing night sounds of the reserve.

The day starts early with tea or coffee before setting off on a morning game drive. This is prime time for wildlife activity lions returning from a hunt, antelope grazing in the cool morning air, and vibrant birdlife calling from the trees. You’ll explore different areas of the park to maximize sightings, from open plains to wooded habitats.
