3-Day Serengeti & Ngorongoro Safari

This three-day safari elegantly combines two of Tanzania’s iconic destinations: the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. On day one, guests travel across the renowned Serengeti plains, engaging in game drives and observing dynamic predator-prey interactions. Day two features a morning safari in central Serengeti, followed by a transfer to the Ngorongoro region for an overnight stay near the crater. On the final day, the itinerary takes guests into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to seek out the Big Five and experience one of the planet’s most unique ecosystems. This program offers a comprehensive safari experience within a condensed timeframe, ideal for business travellers or those with tight schedules.
Day 1: Transfer to Serengeti & Game Drive
You’ll be collected privately from your hotel in either Arusha or Karatu, no group hassle, just direct service. The route takes you through the Ngorongoro Highlands, showcasing not only remarkable landscapes but also an authentic glimpse of Maasai communities along the way. Once you arrive at Serengeti National Park, your first game drive kicks off smoothly.
Lunch is organized as a coordinated picnic experience, positioned strategically so you can appreciate panoramic views across the Serengeti plains, certainly more memorable than a typical dining setting. The afternoon brings continued game viewing en route to your lodge or camp, maximizing your opportunity to spot wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, or giraffes. If the timing is right, you might even witness the spectacle of the wildebeest migration.
To wrap up, dinner is served, and you’re set for an overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti. It’s an itinerary designed for efficiency, comfort, and a strong focus on memorable wilderness experiences.
Day 2: Serengeti Morning Safari & Transfer to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive through the central Serengeti plains, with opportunities to spot leopards, cheetahs, and large herds of antelope, zebras, and wildebeest. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated scenic spot within the park, after which you will proceed toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, continuing to watch for wildlife along the way. By evening, you will arrive near the crater rim for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Return
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full game drive across this remarkable caldera, with opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, flamingos, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot near the hippo pool or Lake Magadi, then continue exploring the crater floor before beginning your return journey to Arusha or Karatu, concluding with a hotel drop-off at the end of your safari.
