1 Day Safari: Dar es Salaam to Saadani National Park (By Car)

Dar es Salaam → Saadani National Park → Game Drive → Wami River Experience → Return to Dar es Salaam
Your journey begins early in the morning with a road transfer from Dar es Salaam heading north toward Saadani National Park. The drive passes through coastal villages, plantations, and scenic countryside before reaching the park gate.
Upon arrival, you enter the park and begin exploring its diverse landscapes, which include open savannah, dense bush, river systems, and coastal beach areas all within one ecosystem.
You proceed with a game viewing experience across the park’s plains, where you may encounter elephants moving through the bush, giraffes feeding on acacia trees, zebras and buffaloes grazing, and various antelope species scattered across the grasslands. With some luck, predators such as lions or hyenas may also be spotted.
The journey continues toward the Wami River area, where hippos and crocodiles are commonly seen. The riverbanks are also rich in birdlife, including kingfishers, fish eagles, and herons.
Depending on conditions and timing, you may also enjoy views of the coastline where the park meets the Indian Ocean, offering a rare combination of beach and safari scenery.
After the wildlife experience, you begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening.
