Day 1: Zanzibar → Mikumi National Park → Game Drive
Early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for a scheduled light aircraft flight to Mikumi National Park.
Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Tanzania’s coastline, forests, and savannah as you fly into the park. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your safari guide and begin your first game drive.
Explore the Mkata floodplain, often compared to the Serengeti due to its open landscapes and high wildlife concentration. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and possibly lions.
Lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at lodge or tented camp.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park.
Discover different areas of the park including grasslands, acacia woodlands, and waterholes that attract a wide variety of wildlife. This is a great day for photography and wildlife observation.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing with your afternoon game drive.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive → Fly Back to Zanzibar
Start your day with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators and active wildlife.
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival, transfer back to your hotel, marking the end of your safari adventure.
