3 Days Road Safari: Dar es Salaam, Mikumi National Park, Nyerere National Park (Selous)
Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park → Game Drives
Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive through the scenic Uluguru Mountain range and local villages toward Mikumi National Park.
Upon arrival, enter the park for an afternoon game drive across the famous Mkata floodplain, often called a “mini Serengeti” due to its open landscape and rich wildlife density.
Expect to spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, and lions if lucky.
Evening relaxation at lodge or tented camp inside or near Mikumi.
Day 2: Mikumi → Nyerere National Park (Selous) → Boat Safari & Game Drive
After breakfast, depart for Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected wilderness areas.
Arrive by midday and enjoy a unique boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife including fish eagles and kingfishers.
Later in the afternoon, continue with a short game drive in the park’s vast wilderness, exploring its untouched landscapes and diverse ecosystems.

Day 3: Nyerere National Park → Morning Game Drive → Return to Dar es Salaam
Early morning game drive to catch predators and active wildlife before the heat of the day.
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Dar es Salaam, passing through villages, plantations, and coastal landscapes.
Arrive in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable Southern Tanzania safari experience.
