3 Days Road Safari: Dar es Salaam to Selous (Game Drive, Boat Safari & Bush Walk)
Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Nyerere National Park → Boat Safari
Early morning departure from Dar es Salaam, heading south toward the vast landscapes of Nyerere National Park.
Enjoy a scenic drive through local villages, farmlands, and natural countryside. Upon arrival in the afternoon, check in at your lodge or tented camp.
In the late afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Rufiji River. Drift quietly past hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife as the sun sets one of the most peaceful and photogenic experiences in the park.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge/camp.
Day 2: Bush Walk + Game Drive Experience
Start your day with an early morning guided bush walk inside Nyerere National Park, accompanied by an armed ranger.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the wilderness up close learning about animal tracks, plants, insects, and the smaller details often missed during game drives. Feel the thrill of walking in true African wilderness.
After breakfast and some relaxation, head out for an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s open plains, riverbanks, and woodlands. Expect to encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and possibly predators like lions.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Leisure Morning → Return to Dar es Salaam
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, soaking in the peaceful surroundings of the bush.
After check-out, begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam, passing through scenic rural landscapes and local communities.
Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your immersive safari adventure.
