3 Days Road Safari: Dar es Salaam to Selous
Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Nyerere National Park → Evening Boat Safari
Early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Dar es Salaam and begin your scenic drive դեպի southern Tanzania, passing through local villages, rivers, and lush landscapes.
Arrive at Nyerere National Park in the afternoon and check in at your lodge or tented camp.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a relaxing and unique boat safari along the Rufiji River. This experience offers close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species such as fish eagles and kingfishers, all set against a beautiful sunset backdrop.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive inside Nyerere National Park.
Explore the park’s diverse habitats including open plains, woodlands, lakes, and river channels. This is one of the best places in Tanzania to see large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and even African wild dogs.
With luck, you may also encounter lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and a wide range of antelope species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive → Return to Dar es Salaam
Start your day with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators while they are still active.
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam, enjoying the scenic countryside and rural Tanzanian life along the way.
Arrive in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your memorable safari experience.
